Directions

Directions: From route 270, take exit 4A for Montrose Road East and then turn right onto Hitching Post Lane. Take first right turn onto Whippoorwill Lane and then turn right onto Whippoorwill Court.

We will use an unmarked point of public access between #1 Whippoorwill Court and #3. These are private residences, so while you might use their address as input for GPS direction purposes, please do not disturb the residents.

Notes & Special Issues

The public easement is unmarked. It takes about a 5-minute walk to nearly reach the fenced-off slope from Route 270 northbound shoulder.

Suggestions

Volunteers are welcome to a trash cleanup of Wolftree Park on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 9 am until about noon. No RSVPs sought. SSL-hours approved.

Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, perhaps even muddy. Volunteers may encounter muddy areas while picking up litter. Please wear sturdy footwear (please, no flip-flops). We recommend long-sleeved shirts and pants, and insect repellent. Work gloves and trash bags will be provided.

The event will be held even if there's a forecast for some rain; it will only be cancelled if there is serious inclement weather. Check www.cabinjohncreek.org for any such announcement. No rain-date.
