This Cleanup is part of the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup

April 13, 2019, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Help us continue our mission to keep our neighborhood clean. This event will help clear garbage before it gets to the river then the ocean. Seneca Creek runs through this park and our group will clean the area around the playground, soccer field and by the creek. Wear sturdy shoes and dress up appropriately for the weather and be ready to get dirty. Bags and gloves will be provided. Free donuts and water supplies supplies last. SSL approved-MCPS students please bring your own SSL form. Must be completed onsite after the event.

Directions: From North 270, exit 13B and at the light, turn left on Waring Station Rd. In about a mile the park will be on your right.

From North 355 coming from Rockville, make a left on Germantown Rd (Rt118). About 2 miles at a light, turn left on Middlebrook Rd then turn right on Waring Station Rd. In about a mile the park will be on your right.

Notes & Special Issues

The area closer to the creek has steep hills and may not be suitable for disabled, elderly or children under 7. However, there are areas on flat areas that can be cleaned where all are welcome to clean. There are no restrooms at the park.

Get your family, friends and neighbors to help keep our neighborhood clean. There is a playground, soccer field and walking path in and around Waring Station Local Park. Regular clean ups are necessary for the safety of the children and visitors of the area. Seneca Creek, a watershed of Potomac River, runs through this park. Help us keep this park clean and join us. Gloves and bags for trash and recycling will be provided. SSL approved for MCPS students-bring your SSL forms please. Wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing and be ready-it can get dirty in some areas.
