Participants should park at the Park Police Potomac River Waterfront Substation and will be taken by shuttle to the cleanup site. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get wet or dirty and bring sun protection, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle.

Suggestions

Please park in the Park Police Substation located at 98 National Harbor Boulevard
Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Participants will be shuttled to and from the project site.

Participants should wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothes that can get wet or dirty. Please bring sun and insect protection and a reusable water bottle. Water and light snacks will be provided.

2019 Extreme Cleanup- Wheaton Claridge Park

Cleanup Event

Join Wheaton Hills Civic Association, Montgomery Parks, park neighbors, and One Montgomery Green to help clean up this neighborhood park and the Rock Creek tributaries that run through it!

Volunteers should wear sturdy closed toe shoes (no sandals) and clothes that can get dirty and wet. Supplies will be provided and SSL hours will be available. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wish to make a difference in your community? Join a park ranger on monthly shoreline cleanups to pick up trash and drift wood. Please let someone at the contact station know that you are coming to volunteer to waive the fee. For questions and to register, please call the Visitor Center at 703-583-6904.
