This Cleanup is part of the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup

April 22, 2018, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Clean our waterways event on Earth Day. Gathering the local
Southwest Community and anyone who enjoys the Wharf to spend an afternoon kayaking or walking the Washington Channel to clean the trash and debris, recycle and dispose. Then we will clean up and meet back at the local Wharf restaurants that supported our event.

Directions: Come to the Wharf DC 7th Street Pier. Parking is available in the underground parking garages, but it is not inexpensive. Parking is also available on the street or in a parking lot nearby (L'Enfant Parking is also an option). We recommend taking the metro, bus or taxi to the location.

Notes & Special Issues

The Washington Channel, home of the Wharf DC, has kayak rentals available. There are also water taxis and cruise vessels which will be navigating the waters with you. They are very large and cannot stop - so they have right of way. Please use caution or get training before navigating these waters.
