Join us for our annual Potoma Wayside River Cleanup, as part of the greater Potomac River Watershed Cleanup effort throughout our region. Keep the river that you play in and drink from clean!
Trash bags, and a limited # of gloves will be provided. Please wear long pants and long sleeves, sturdy footwear (hiking boots or work boots preferred), hats, sunglasses and refillable water bottles are recommended. Filtered water will be provided.
Parking: Please park across the street, before the Exxon (coming from WV) in the gravel pull off lot. There are No Parking signs posted, but we have the permission of Mr. Throckmorton, the owner. Tell the Catoctin Kettle Corn vendors that you are volunteering for the river clean up, and they will direct you where to park in the lot. Walk to the stoplight by the Exxon and very carefully cross the road at the light. Oncoming traffic moves fast, so use extra caution.
